Goldie Celebrates Wee Wednesday at Magnolia-licious!

Hello Sweet Readers,

Happy "Hump Day" to each of you! This is my second post in as many days! Can you believe that?

Today is Wee Wednesday at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog! Some of the gals have created adorable cards using these oh-so-sweet Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet. Maybe you will find some inspiration in these adorable projects! Did you know that Diana now carries Wee Stamps at Magnolia-licious? If you haven't checked them out, you really should! Diana has great prices AND you get store credit which accumulates with each purchase until you decide to use your saved credit in the store! How cool is that?

I chose to use Wee #101 - Goldie for my card. I love that I can use this image for lots of different purposes. I chose "Celebrate" on today's card. I can, however, see it used for a "Thinking of You" card or a "Get Well Card." They are so versatile! I dressed the card up with a cluster of silver sequins which add a bit of additional sparkle to the image. The center of each sequin holds a clear rhinestone. I have had a box of sequins for about 15 years! They just sat up in my closet awaiting a time to use them! Well, the time is NOW! I also used a fine glitter on the large air bubble as well as the one beneath the snail. I applied dark pink Kindyglitz glitter glue for the flowers and bubbles above the snail. Here she is:

I just love the soft pink and blue together. I chose to have lots of layering, machine stitching, gorgeous flowers, an adorable seahorse charm, sparkle, and texture! The sparkle on the image panel is just perfect. The clear glitter just draws the eye right to the stamped image. The sequins just add another type of texture. I love using them! I know I'll be using them even more!

Here are the inside images:

I have used the following products on my card:

Doohickey Cutting Die - 81 - Vintage Box Lacing Chocolate Die

Thank you for stopping by! I hope that you gain a bit of inspiration from my card. Let me know what you think!

Chris

Are you ready to see my creation? I cannot wait to share it with you! Here it is:

Isn't that carriage adorable? I have had a princess carriage design in my head for years! It wasn't until the new Magnolia Once Upon a time Collection became available at Magnolia-licious that I actually got to turn my thoughts into a tangible project! I used pink vellum for the body of the carriage. Then, I went through my Nesties to see which dies would work for the carriage hardware. Those elements were cut from silver cardstock. I used silver thread to stitch the seams on the carriage body as well as around the perimeter of the card's panels. Next, I chose to add some girly girl pearls, flowers, and charms! If you look closely, Tilda has little pink pearls on her shoes. I also added three hot pink rhinestones to her crown. Here are the close ups.

Here are the images of the interior panels. I used the pink vellum once again to create the flowers and leaves.

For the bottom panel, I used the pink vellum for the flower as well as the stamped castle image.

The following items are available a the Magnolia-licious store:

223 - Princess Tilda with Curl

Heart Doohickey Die

New Magnolia-licious Challenge Featuring Tilda with Daffodil Basket

Good morning everyone,

Happy April! Can you believe it's April already? We're already running our air conditioner! It's around 80° already, which isn't that bad, but everything is in bloom, and the allergens are really heavy! So, by keeping the house closed up and running the air conditioner, it helps keep those pollens at bay. Even our poor little Precious, the cat, is having Feline Asthma. She's so good when I give her the pill. She doesn't fight the daily routine at all. Bless her heart!

Guess what is ready to go at Magnolia-licious? If you guessed the new

Once Upon a Time Collection

then you guessed right! The prices are the BEST and, in addition, you'll get a store credit based on your total spent at the time of purchase. This goes into your own personal account and builds each time you make a purchase. Down the line, it feels like Christmas when you can get that special something using the accumulated store credit! Diana's inventory is filled, so don't wait! If you wait too long, they'll be gone.

There is a new challenge today at the Magnolia-licous/Wee Stamps Challenge Blog ! Our challenge for the next two week period is to create a card using

Buttons, Bows, and/or Beads!

How fun is that? It's time for a girly girl card! Woo Hoo! Here is the card I created to provide a little inspiration. I hope you like it. I did change the base of the card from white to the pale pink after I had taken the photos. I liked it better with the pink base. I have used some wonderful NEW Magnolia products, too. The Magnolia products used in my card follow the photo. Here is the front of my card:

I am so in love with this stamp! It is so perfect for so many card purposes! This time, I chose to use pale yellow and pale pink together. Remember, I did change the white base of the card to the pale pink. I have created eight holes for lacing the ribbon. At each end, I added a pretty bow. You can find the following products at the Magnolia-licious Store. Use the links to go right to the product information.

Tilda with Daffodil Basket

Doo-hickey Butterfly Die - Check with Diana about availability.

Here are the shots of the inside of my card:

Here are the links to the Magnolia-licious products used for the interior:

Now, I would like to announce the winner of a special something from little old me (emphasis on the old part). The name was chosen fro those who left a little love for me on the last Challenge post. That winner is...

#15 - Patty - that's YOU!

It's a Magnolia-licious Mini Monday!

Hello Dearest Readers,

I hope your Easter was one that was filled with family, friends, laughs, and love! I so loved when our boy was little and the Easter Bunny would leave a basket of goodies. He was always so thrilled!

Well, it's Mini Monday at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog! If this is your first time checking out Mini Monday, it's our way to inspire you to pull out your minis and ink them up! I'll tell you, it's been great for me as I was really intimidated by them! LOL So, we'll work into using them together, OK? LOL

Before I forget, I want to share that Diana has the brand spankin' new Once Upon a Time Collection on sale right now! The prices are soooo affordable with the generous discount that Diana gives as well as the additional discount that goes into your own little "savings" account (store credit) earned with each purchase of store product. Get them before they are gone!

My card is really different from my usual style! First of all, there are NO FLOWERS! Can you believe that? I love flowers and usually have them inside and out on my cards! Not this time! I also kept the design very simple. That is also so unlike me! Yes, I used layers and machine stitching - I couldn't give up everything, LOL, could I? Here are the images:

For the front of the card, I chose the colors of pale yellow and teal. It looks like an emerald green, but it's a teal. The base of the card is the pale yellow Bazzill. I found some patterned paper in my stash that was a perfect match! I used Basic Grey buttons, bakers twine, Nestie dies for the scalloped circles and inner yellow circles, Memory Box dies for the swirly circles and the three random circles. The tag is an improvised Magnolia tag. I wanted to make the tag more functional, so I got a little creative. Then, there is my sweet little Tilda. I have listed the products used under the photo.

Here is a list of the products available at Magnolia-licious:

Tilda Brings Flower

Memory Box Loopy Rings Die

Magnolia Doohickey Die - Tea Label Tags

Memory Box Ringed Buckle

Here are images for the inside of the card. Following the photos is the list of Magnolia-licious products used.

Can you believe I didn't use a single flower, ribbon, glitter, or other embellies I dearly love! YIKES! There is a clear button inside the bottom circle near the center. The photo didn't pick up the button image. It looks a bit wonky! LOL Here is what I did use and you could use, too, if you like parts of what I did!

Memory Box Vilanti Crest

Memory Box Loopy Rings

Tilda with Thistle - 2008 Halloween and Autumn Collection

I hope you found some inspiration with my card. Magnolia-licious is having a wonderful sale on Magnolia Mini Storage binders! They are currently 58% off the regular price! You pay just $10.00 for a single binder! I am going to order one after I sign off! They come with inserts and index cards to catalogue your minis! Such a bargain!

Well, I hope you like my Mini Monday card. It is sure different from my usual, isn't it! Thank you so much for stopping by. Please leave a comment to be included in the draw for a surprise from Diana!

I do hope you will return very soon!

Love to you,

Chris
